yes it is missing, Can one of the moderators tell us when it will be reinstalled?

I have no idea. Lee posted an announcement which stated that the old server died and has been replaced by a back-up and that the search function was disabled. We almost lost all of the archives and information here on SDN (meaning all of the forums would be blank and we would have to start over from scratch). While the admins are trying to get things back up the search function has been disabled to prevent another system crash. Believe me, I wish the search function was back up as well.

*UPDATE* I don't know if I'm divulging secret information, but I thought I'd share with all of you the news that a new server is on the way. It will be able to handle the database traffic that the current server cannot, and thus, the server function will be back. When it will be installed? I don't know, but at least it will be here nonetheless. Thanks for your patience!
