Hi,

I'm investing a lot of my time at the moment to send out my Resumes to the consulting companies. But it is with an almost not existing yield, what seems unfortunately to be the case in general. Somewhere I read from 1000 applicants for 10 positions. But i'm also considering other possibilities. I would try to stay in health care if possible. But it's really hard to get qualitative trustworthy information what chances exist, besides consulting. Banking I believe is not good to start at, also tough. Are there any good coaching companies / head hunter / recruitment companies which could help? I could appreciate every help.

Best,

BK

Network network network network. Did I mention network? The key is to send emails to division heads at places you want to work asking for "advice" or "about a career in x". Make it CLEAR that you do NOT want a job or for them to forward your résumé. Have a call with them ask them smart questions. Meet with them if possible. Work this until recruiting season in fall and get to the point where it seems comfortable to ask them to "review your resume". Do this for multiple companies. That is how you break in!
