I was just wondering do most schools have second look weekends/days like medical schools for the accepted students? I know places like Colorado pay for flights for their accepted students to look at the school as they don't interview out of state, but I was wondering if any schools that have interviews do that?

I suppose I'm just excited to meet people in my class, and was wondering if most schools organized anything like that.

I don't think it's too common - or at least if it is, I haven't heard about it. I just made my own because I want to make sure I'm making the best, most informed decision possible.

I got a letter from Tufts inviting me to come back for a second look, sample classes and stuff on March 30th

yeah tufts is the only one i've heard of...

That's interesting, I'm surprised more don't have them. I already know where I'm going I just was hoping OSU would give us the opportunity to meet. I think it will be interesting to meet SDN people after all of this online talking!

I'm in Columbus all the time (my best friend is a perpetual grad student at OSU), so if I end up picking OSU maybe we could meet up.

I think a lot of schools have information sessions in May or something...so that students who have accepted their offers can meet each other in advance. Doesn't Penn do that or something?

VA-MD has an open house at the end of March. They let accepted students sit in on a few classes, meet with professors, have a meet and greet during the open house, and a bbq type thing after the open house...

Definitely. Let me know when you decide.

Hi ri23, where did you hear about CSU flying accepted students out? Do you know who to contact for that? Do they fly students out who have already accepted the offer? Thank you!!!

Hey QTkitty, that is something I thought I read a while back looking through some old posts. I could be completely wrong, but I thought I read that they did that for accepted students. Sorry if that isn't true, maybe someone that knows a little more about CSU can say whether or not I am mistaken about that.

Well it wouldn't hurt to try so I'll make some calls here within the next few days and get back to you all. Thanks!

all of my second look weekend opportunities fall on the same weekend. although i can visit schools on other weekends, it surely will be a different experience than that of a second look weekend. so, on the second look weekend, should i visit a school that i am leaning towards or against attending?

During my second visit, I went up there with the mindset that I was 90+% sure I was going else where. Needless to say, I'm back and more baffled than EVER, which is good for the school - bad for me!
