Hey guys and gals. I'm from canada and I just finished a degree in biomaterials engineering and my cgpa isn't the greatest (2.8), but my last two years was a 3.0. I'm currently doing a second degree in geography which I love, and I'm doing pretty well (3.7 gpa).

When I apply to dentistry after I'm done (8 years of undergrad), what years would they look at in consideration? Last 3 years, or all of it?

I can't seem to outrun my shadow of being a party goer and socializer. My dat scores are ok, averaging between 17 to 19.

I'm only familiar with canadian schools which are tough to get in and aussie schools, so I need some help about american schools.

thanks

V

hello-
I am also a second degree candidate applicant in this cycle.
(first degree in Japan and second in US)
I think schools look at all the grades basically, but
if they see your GPA increasing each year, they will take it into
consideration. ( at least that's what I heard)
I had 2 interviews so far and they didnot ask me why I got C-/C in some class.
They are non-science class probably that's why.

Im not so sure about your DAT scores tho.. you might wanna get over 20's
unless you apply really early.

I hope it helps!🙂
