This may sound like a silly question, but since a lot of the secondaries are really only about 1-2 paragraphs long, do we need a concluding sentence?

My concluding sentence is usually a rephrasing of the prompt. ...with a dash of creativity!

If you want to make it better, yes. Never leave the reader being like "and so what?" after ending with a detail. Unless you have like 250 characters in which case you dont need to waste 100 for a concluding sentence.

I usually end saying that, "I look forward to sharing/discussing my interests in Etc. School with you further", or something along those lines, depending on the essay.
