Hi all,

I submitted my application and was verified by mid-June. I have now received 4-5 secondaries (in the past 2 weeks) out of 15 schools that I applied to. However, I am still waiting on a couple of letters of recommendation from D.O. physicians whom I shadowed (I am Canadian and I had to travel to the US to shadow D.O,).

My question are:

If I were to submit my secondaries within the next 2-3 weeks (with a total of 6 LOR), will this be considered too late for those schools?

How will schools look at my application with a few late secondaries submission?

Thank you very much!
Your help is greatly appreciated!

General consensus is that as long as you are complete by Oct/Nov., you'll be fine. However, your secondaries are submitted separately from your LORs, so you can write all your essays and pay. Your application will not be complete until your LORs are submitted.

Next 2-3 weeks is ok, but unless the schools say LOR's required before secondaries then you don't necessarily need to wait.

Once your LOR's are in though you need to notify the schools so they can update your file or some schools may want the letters emailed directly to them.

Best of luck
