I am trying to get a head start on some of the essays before I recieve the Secondaries. If someone could post the essay questions for any following schools I would be SO grateful:

1) Mt Sinai
2) SUNY-Buffalo
3) SUNY-Upstate
4) Duke
5) Northwestern
6) Michigan
7) Minnesota (Twin Cities)
8) Stanford

Also, if you know if any of these schools screen before sending 2ndaries, let me know too!

Northwestern:

1. We want to know more about how you came to the decision to pursue a career in medicine. If you AMCAS application answers this question, tell us anything more you'd like the Committee on Admissions to know about you and you career aspirations. (400 wds)

2. Why do you want to attend Northwestern? Include a direct response to the following:
1) what you have learned about our collaborative curriculum (esp PBL and PPS) and why it influenced you to apply. Also comment on what you feel you can contirbute to these sessions.
2) in what ways does FSM's organ based approach suit your learning style? How will this approach help you learn what you need to know to be a successful physician.
3) comment on any other specific factors that promoted you to apply to feinberg (400wds)

3. Please select a, b, or c to answer
a) if you have not been enrolled as a full time student for more than six months at any time, pelase list the dates and describe what you did during your time away
b) if you have spent a semester overseas, please describe wht you did and its influence on your prsonal development
c) if a or b does not apply, please describe an out of the classroom activity that has influenced your personal development

upstate and buffalo had no essays as i recall.

mt. sinai had 2 half-page essays. one of which i believe was optional. something about relating a leadership role.
