Just took the MCAT and my scores will be released August 14th. My primary app has also just been verified and I've gotten all my secondaries back from the schools I've applied too.
I'm expecting a pretty good MCAT score based on practice tests but don't want to assume anything really. Based on the scores, there are schools I wouldn't apply to (i.e. less top tier or less bottom tier) and schools I would focus on, etc.
Since the schools won't look at my apps until my MCAT scores are in anyways, is there any disadvantage in waiting the month before submitting the secondaries? I'd have everything ready to go and pre-written.. just wouldn't pay and hit submit until I check my scores (I have a sort of breakdown of schools to apply to based on the score I'd get..).
My committee letter also won't be in until mid-late August so another thing holding my app back..
Pretty much, is there any advantage in submitting 'blind' (like, placed earlier in the pile for review?) or any disadvantage in waiting until my scores come back (like, not returning secondaries within two weeks..).
Thanks
