How long do we normally have to return a secondary application to a medical school once you get an email notifying you they want one. I was wondering this because I have three weeks before my final letter of rec is coming in and I just started receiving secondaries today.

How long do we normally have to return a secondary application to a medical school once you get an email notifying you they want one. I was wondering this because I have three weeks before my final letter of rec is coming in and I just started receiving secondaries today.

Most schools I've seen don't have deadlines, but if there is one, it's usually 2-3 weeks. LORs don't need to be submitted concurrently with the secondary, they can be submitted before/after.

Submit the secondary immediately and just send the LOR as soon as it's available. Usually you don't have to send each part of the application in one whole package.
