Secondaries questions, plz help

Hi everyone, I have a question about secondaries application. What is in secondary application ? I submitted AADSAS mid June, got mailed out in July and now I received letters from schools saying that they have receieved my applications and tell me to send checks, photos, DAT scores... Is that the secondary application that people talk about? Accept for UPenn which have specific questions in secondary application, other than that, I don't know what secondary application look like in other schools. Also I haven't taken my DAT and if the letters telling to send money and photos.. are not secondaries, then is it true that the schools will send secondaries stuffs to me after receiving my DAT scores?

P.S Is it true that AADSAS doesn's tsend transcript this year?

Secondary applications are a supplemental application supplied by and specific to a school. Most are rather short and ask a couple of questions, such as Penn's. Unlike Penn, which makes theirs readily available online, most schools will usually contact you regarding secondary applications - although it's best to look such things up on each school's website to see what their particular policy is. No two secondary applications are exactly alike. Sending in secondary fees and photos alone does not constitute a secondary application. And yes, AADSAS does forward your transcripts to your schools.

Just to clarify about the transcripts...I received a letter from Michigan asking me to send Official Transcripts directly to them because AADSAS stopped sending them as of this year. I also heard of others saying that they got the same type of letter from other schools like UMaryland... So, it looks like AADSAS is NOT going to send out transcripts this year. 🙁 That's just more $$ out of my pocket... 😳

I can second the whole "no transcipts from AADSAS" thing...I got a letter last week from UAB wanting transcripts, and I'm guessing it won't be the last one I get.
