My premed Advisor just told me that they would not send the committee letter until I got the secondaries from the schools because some schools discard the letter if they do not have created a file for your application by sending you a secondary.

I though that they would not send secondaries if they did not have letters, I guess I was wrong.

Does anybody know how this really works? Do schools send secondaries without having LOR's?

Thank you

There are some other good threads re:your question. But here's the deal. DO
NOT send in your lor's until schools ask for them. Schools will generally ask for them when you submit your secondaries. If you submit them before schools ask, they will be destroyed. So sit tight and wait for your secondaries.

Yep, schools do not want letters until they have your secondary. Send the letters with the secondary or, if your letters aren't done yet, send them after you've completed and sent the secondary, but not before unless the med. school for some reason requests them.

But for schools that have asked for a secondary it's okay for the letters to potentially arrive before the application does, right?
