Quick question, should I be concerned if I submitted my AMCAS application on the 26th (not yet verified obviously) and haven't received any secondaries? Or do most schools wait until AMCAS verification to send you a secondary unless you're very competitive?

Some do, some don't. I submitted mine later in June last year as well. Let me check when I got my first secondary back...

My first one was UoM Duluth on 7/2, then the next one was 8/3. So yeah, you might have to wait a month.

Most all schools wait until verification to send secondaries, regardless of your stats. You're fine.

I got 2 secondaries from George Washington U and USUHS, still not verified. They won't process my secondaries until I'm verified but they sent them anyways.

I didn't apply to either of those schools, so I guess that's a good thing. Do you have a stellar MCAT and GPA?

I submitted my primary yesterday and have already received a secondary from Boston University. So I guess some schools pre-screen while others don't, and you don't really have to be verified to receive a secondary. However, they won't let you submit it until you have been verified...i think.

Average stats, 31 MCAT and 3.44/3.5 cumulative and science respectively.
