Secondaries

For why us I tried to find something at the school that I could relate to through my ECs or anything. It kind of sounds obvious writing it like that but you just have to think through everything you've done and look through their website to find anything in common. I volunteered at a free clinic for a while and if a school had one as well I wrote about my experience doing that and how I would love to be involved with their school's free clinic as well.

That's what I am doing right now but it feels very passive and does not feel that original or strong. I don't think it hurts but I don't see it helping much really. It feels like everyone puts similar stuff like that.

look at schools mission. incorporate it into your "why us". Also look at other things the school does or their teaching style. Some have specific mentorship programs, some teach material a certain way (like access to clinical care early).
