1) What secondaries are already out now online that do not pre-screen?

2) If a secondary has room left for "optional information essay" do you fill it out or not? On one hand, admission members are probably already tired and have enough to read. On the other hand, its extra space for you to write.

Usually those sections are meant for you to explain deficiencies in your application. (low gpa, W/Fs, downward GPA trend, institutional action, etc.). And if you are thinking about including something important and positive, then you should absolutely find a way to fit it in your main AMCAS anyway.
