So I am answering the secondary for the University of Illinois, and it asks about a stressful situation, how I handled it, and how I would handle it next time.

I was thinking I could write about time management as it relates to my course withdrawal. I was going to talk about being overwhelmed and dropping the class because I did not believe I would have time to be successful in it. Then I would talk about how I would now manage my time better to be successful in that class and the others and would not withdrawal.

Does this seem okay, or does it shine a bad light on me?

sounds like you're missing the point of the question. your way of "dealing" with the stressful situation is avoidance, which is exactly what they don't want to read. try again!

I would talk about a stressful situation that had an actual solution. Just saying what you would do does not mean that you actually would do it if put into that situation. Do you have another example of a time where you actually dealt with the stressful situation in a positive, proactive way?

In other words, simply saying what you would do if put into that situation again is not nearly as strong as saying what you did do to fix it and ensure that you wouldn't be in that situation again.

If you have a chronic stressful situation that you have found a way to balance with your life, that would be ideal. You could explain the situation, the process you underwent to grapple with the issue and the resultant solution that you have implemented with success.

I will have to do some brainstorming. I am sure there are things that were stressful, and I have dealt with in a positive manner. Just often forget about some of these small details in life. Anyway thank you all for the feedback! I will come up with something better than the withdrawal.
