Secondary Application Photo Quality

Upon uploading my profile photo into secondary applications I've noticed that it loses a large amount of quality (potentially due to resizing?). Is this the norm for secondary app profile photos, or should I continue varying ways of uploading it until quality isn't lost? The photo isn't completely unrecognizable, but isn't anywhere near the quality of the original. I definitely don't want to be screened out due to a blurry photo, so all help is appreciated!

I don't really think a low res photo will matter, it's pretty common. Just make sure it is a relatively professional headshot and that you are dressed appropriately. I've seen some pretty wacky headshots
