I have a few questions concerning secondary apps....
1. My secondary asks me to optionally "list my interests and hobbies," however I used a section to do so in my primary app. Should I list the hobbies I wrote a paragraph about in my primary or just copy and paste the paragraph from my primary? I'm leaning toward just listing, but I wanted some confirmation.

2. Another prompt is "Why are you pursuing a M.D.? Discuss briefly why you have decided to pursue a M.D. degree program."...Should I basically be restating my personal statement conclusion/summarizing the personal statement? Or should I write this in a different way, expressing the same thing from my personal statement? 500 character limit.

3. Another prompt is "Practice after residency: How do you see yourself practicing medicine after residency training? (Please include choice of medical practice and location)"... In short, is looking for like whether want to be working in a hospital or working at a private practice? or if I know where I want to be specifically (major hospital in the city of the medical school) should I explicitly say that I see myself in X city at a major hospital? 500 character limit.

Lol sorry if the questions are me overcomplicating this!

Also in the 3rd question should I mention a specialty that I am interested in or no, because the prompt didn't ask for it?

Dont cut and paste and show the adcom that you are too lazy to think of anything new
You can list but depending on the character length, I would write a new narrative in some fashion

What you should do is write a cohesive, concise, and sincere statement that accurately reflects your reasons for medicine. It should integrate/interlock with other parts of application. there is no magic formula here and I suggest you answer the question asked without getting so caught up in these others worries

to say the least

Answer the question asked! It says "Please include choice of medical practice...." which is asking for your specialty. How you could possibly say where you see yourself after residency without mentioning specialty is sheer ridiculousness. Stop over thinking this[/QUOTE]

Thank you!!!!!
