Every time I write an essay for a secondary and copy and paste it from Word or from Notepad, the formatting gets lost. The indentation of the second and third (etc) paragraphs still remain, but the first one is always not indented. wtf is up with this? Anyone else have the same problem? I've tried multiple times to fix it, but nothing so far has worked.

I had that problem too. I noticed that when I highlighted my stuff to be paste, if I didn't highlight the indentation in the first paragraph, it didn't get copied. See if this is your prob. too.

Had a similar problem with AMCAS. The indention isn't being copied. Here is what you need to do: Backspace the paragraph so that it isn't indented and then re-TAB it. Then see if it is copied. Sometimes, Word has somehow changed the tab into something else and it doesn't recognize that the tab is there. Hope that helps and this made sense..

Hi, thanks for the responses, but it didn't work yet.

I've tried highlighting the indentation from Word and copying it, and when I do copy it, I can see it's indented. When I save the application and come back to it later though, or even just flip around to to different pages, the first paragraph's indentation is gone. I've even tried copying the indentation from the second par. onto the first one, but that didn't work either.

Also, the tab function isn't working on these secondaries. It works on Word and Notepad, but not on these forms; if I press tab, it moves me from one button (ie. save) to another (ie. submit).

Any other ideas? 😕

try using html code for paragraph breaks
