Hey, I was just wondering if it was ok to use a digital camera to take a picture of myself and then use my software to "enhance" it. Nothing major of course, I was just thinking maybe putting in some scars to support my POW survival story, maybe a "HMS or DIE!!" facial tattoo, or a cooler haircut. Any input is appreciated.

Not only is it ok, but recommended. They will call you a liar if you dont have the scars, no way you'd get an inverview!

Sounds like a good idea to me.

I appreciate the quick responses, I will get on that right away. Now, the only thing I need is some costume makeup in case I actually get an interview...

👍 👍 after seeing the picture, they'll probably skip the interview and send you the acceptance package the same day

I just cropped a digital picture of me from a bullfight i went to in spain. i figure that if you have something original, it will make it easier for them to remember you. In other words, think if you have any good suitable pictures already, either digital or scannable. If you aren't comfortable with that, then go the more conservative route with a passport style photo. Supertarget will print out a high quality 4x6 from a cd or memory card that you can crop for 25 cents. At kinkos, bring a cd and it's 59 cents.

HAHAHA...OMG i'm at work and I am loving this post and cracking up...of course my co-workers are looking at me like I've gone bananas, but I want to submit a photo of myself in a wonder woman get-up
with a text bubble saying "You can't reject me! I'm WONDER PRE_MED!"

Which raises a question....What happens if they put you on the spot with your Lasso of Truth during interview? Are you prepared for this eventuality? I mean, I can recount chinese water torture and pakistani feather torture stories ad nauseum....
