Hi all,

So I don't have all my recommendation letters yet, so if I submit my secondary now, would I be holding a spot in line (obviously every1 after me whos complete would go first) or would I be held off until my primary is complete and then be put in line?

Also, my health advising committee submits letter somewhere in August, is this too late for LOR submission? If so I guess I need to call and rush them lol

Cheers,

The adcoms won't look at your application until it is absolutely complete: primary verified, letters all received, and secondary submitted. That being said, it's in your best interest to submit secondaries sooner rather than later because as soon as the schools receive your LORs, they can start evaluating your application.

I "attended" an online webinar for one of the medical schools. They made it very clear that they will only look at your application once everything is received/completed. They suggested that many schools do this, but I cannot tell you that this is the case for every school.

I think all schools can see the dates you submit your AMCAS application and your secondaries. It might look better if you submit your secondary close to when you receive it than if you wait a month to submit it. But what do I know?

Some schools have limits on the time frame of when the secondary must be submitted. Better sooner than later...

My school won't send out letters til august. Did I just shoot myself in the foot by verifying and receiving secondaries too early?

Not at all. They can see the dates you submitted everything. And many schools send out letters in August. I wouldn't fret about something you can't control.
