Hi everyone,
I recently applied to the University of Maryland’s Dental Hygiene program and just found out I’ve been placed on the alternate list. I'm reaching out to anyone who has experience with this program masters and bachelors to ask a few things:
Any insight would mean a lot right now. Thank you in advance for your advice and support!
I recently applied to the University of Maryland’s Dental Hygiene program and just found out I’ve been placed on the alternate list. I'm reaching out to anyone who has experience with this program masters and bachelors to ask a few things:
- Does anyone know how often students on the alternate list actually get accepted into the program?
- Are there any tips or steps I can take to strengthen my chances of moving off the list?
- For those who have been through this—did you eventually get in, or did you reapply the following year?
- I'm also curious if alternate list placements are common for both the bachelor's and master's tracks, and if the outcomes differ.
Any insight would mean a lot right now. Thank you in advance for your advice and support!
