Ah, yes. Another thread about self doubt. I was just wondering if anyone out there could tell me about how a post-bacc works, you know...just in case I end up needing to get one. Does one retake all the pre requisites, or just the classes they scored poorly in during their undergrad? Does doing a post-bacc reflect badly on an applicant? Honestly, it is my dream to become a dentist, but I feel as though my science gpa comes up short. Thank you all in advance for your help.

Hi blueskiess. I personally cannot image a post-bacc being seen as a negative if your sGPA is lacking. Adcoms will see it a positive that you understand your weaknesses and are trying to fix them. What is your sGPA if you don't mind me asking?

You can do a formal post-bacc, which would be an actual program offered by the school as I understand it, or you can do an informal one, where you just kind of take classes as you need them. Don't retake any pre-reqs unless you need to. I would focus on upper level science.
