Self Employment in AMCAS

Hi,

I recently started a new tutoring company with a couple friends. It is pretty successful at the moment and it is generating a good amount of side-income. It has a fully functioning website. Because it has my information in the tutor biographies section, I chose not to link you guys. I did not want to make myself too identifiable on SDN, I hope you guys understand.

I am wondering whether I should include this experience in my AMCAS activities. Although being the "founder/CEO" is great in terms of leadership, I do not want adcoms to think that my attention is elsewhere. If it is a good idea to include it, how does one enter self-employment? Is the contact information my information?

Please advise me on this matter.

I had a self business on my AMCAS last year. I put it down as employment and listed owner as the title. I had to put someone else down as contact information though because I thought having myself listed was kind of stupid.

I mean, a person could put anything down if they listed themselves as the contact.
