Semester is comming to an end

I've been getting very excited the last few weeks. The sooner the semester ends, the soon I start at ICO. I hope the rest of you class of 2007ers feel the same. I know I should savor the time before the "storm" starts, but I just can't wait to start!

So, are you guys/gals who are in school already ready for your next year? I'm sure it is not as exciting as just getting started.

I remember all my friends is highschool being really excited about graduating, but I never really was. I just looked at it as, "Yea, now I get to go to college for 4 years." Now as I approach my BS, I see my freinds all excited again, but I'm not really. I'm excited about started at ICO, but not getting my BS. Again, just another piece of paper saying I get to go to school for 4 more years. After I start next year, I think I can finally be excited. I will finally see the end of the line. I know the real world will be a challange, but I can't wait.

The end is near!!!

 

[Reality check]

Congratulations rpames on your acceptance to ICO. You sure show much enthusiasm as you are about to embark on your optometric career. The biggest challenge you'll find will be your next 4 years- Optometry school. Once you earn the OD degree and become licensed- the real world will be a piece of cake compared to school. No matter what mode of optometric practice you decide to choose do it with passion, love for your work and maintain a caring attitude and you'll do very well.
The real world will be cruise control compared to what you are about to find out. Good Luck and blessings on your lifes journey.
Don't loose sight of that upbeat attitude!

Yes, I am Mrs. Eyegirl. 🙂 And very devoted to my wonderful man too.

It's just that I've never met anyone who is as excited (fanatical?) about ICO as I am...maybe there are romantic soulmates and then colleague soulmates.

I so so so so want to practice with you! I hope I'll get to meet you at orientation. I'll be the girl who keeps staring at the big buildings--I've never lived in a true big city before!
