My school switched from quarters to semesters and I retook some of the classes I took on quarters on semesters

For instance on quarters there were 3 ochem classes and i took 2 of the 3 on quarters and then retook the first part on semesters (this is the first quarter class and half of the second) and then I took the second semester of ochem.

In terms of the credit hours the classes were 4 credit hours on quarters and also 4 credit hours on semesters.

Also how do DO schools view grade replacement. Hypothetically a student with some C's could retake all he classes and earn an A and turn a 3.1 sci GPA into a 3.6 or 3.7 or higher with hard work. Is there a limit on how many classes you can retake?

Thanks!

as long as you are replacing equal number of credit hours you are okay. i don't think the credit hours are correct, you may want to double check. 3 orgo quarters with 4 max credits each = 12 credits all together. 2 orgo semesters with 4 max credits each = 8 credits all together. therefore, it SHOULD be 2 orgo semesters with 6 max credits each = 12 credits. i did grade replacement from quarter to semester and 4 & 6 were the different credit hours.

as far as i know, you can replace all your grades if you retook the classes. i don't think there's a cap. but eventually, i think the adcom will wonder if you can only perform well when taking a second stab at things.
