I m a senior this year and I was taking 22 units. I m having trouble keeping up with my coures and I would actually like to have more free time for fun. I was thinking about dropping 1 of 2 or both of my science courses, bringing me down to 15 more managable units.

Will a semester without any science classes look bad?

I have taken many science courses in past semesters, and i have done fairly well in them (mostly As and Bs).

I'm not sure if you are planning to take or have taken the MCAT already, but I think if you have completed all of your prereqs and have demonstrated your ability in past science courses, taking a semester off may be better than being totally overwhelmed and possibly jeopardizing a good gpa. Or could you consider taking at least 1 science course?
I guess it depends on what classes you are taking. If you drop both the science courses I would try and make sure you get all A's this semester though.

i wouldn't think it'd look bad at all. i know i have tons of terms where no sciences, but, of course, i'm a nontrad and wasn't a science major. schools are interested in well-rounded candidates, and i personally think it's a waste of an undergraduate education to focus solely on scientific study to the exclusion of humanities and fine arts work. take some great english/history/philosophy/religion/whatever courses and remind yourself that there's more to college than getting into med school.

Give your self a break 22 credits is crazy as long as u did well in your science classes your fine. Remember that some people go back to school part time and do fine in med school. deffinetly take a rest

Yea, if i dropped the two science courses, my semester would be extremeley easy.

exlawgrrl hit it right on the head: Med schools will appreciate an applicant who is "well-rounded" and decided to take courses that exist outside of the science building at your college. I took a semester to study abroad in Italy and absolutely loved not having science for a semester! It's a great way to refresh your mind and show that you are more than just a "lab rat."
