"Send at same time as AADSAS. . ."

So about half of the schools I applied to ask me to send a check, photo, etc. at the same time as my AADSAS application. I submitted my AADSAS application on Aug. 18 and have noticed that no schools have cashed my checks...So, should I have waited until my AADSAS application was processed before sending the material off?

P.s. I called a school yesterday just to see if they had my DAT scores (test taken in June 3), which I sent via ADA, and they didn't...do they not receive DAT scores until they receive AADSAS application? I didn't call more schools after that because I felt like an idiot.

I think the reason they had not processed your DAT scores nor your checks is because they (out of courtesy) wait until they have a valid AADSAS application before they officially open a file for you. I would not worry though, you did they right thing, I am sure this happens all the time. Once they receive the applicaiton they will cash your check and enter the DAT scores from the database into your file. I would not bother calling them to check until you know they recieved AADSAS.
