Sending application status inquiry to schools

I have an acceptance from one of my top choices and want to close out my cycle with any final interviews from schools that have not gotten back to me about an interview/rejection (I was complete early July at these schools). Considering that interviews are nearly concluded, is there any harm in asking for an application update at this point?

I am in the same situation. I decided just to let everything happen at its own pace. No point urging those places where you will not likely go at this point. And they probably don't care about being prodded.
