Sending Dat scores?

I have a question about when to send DAT scores. i'm taking the dat soon, the 3rd, so if the application cycle has not begun yet, will they be sent to the schools too early? Won't they be sent out 3 weeks after i take the test, this will be the end of may which is before schools accept applications. Do i need to contact the company and tell them to send them later, or will the schools just keep them on file when they get them? Thanks
