ok so i retook the dat on september 27, and then i went home and went to ada.org and sent the scores. but then afterwards i read on the ada site that you should only send your scores 3-4 weeks after test date. so did i pretty much waste the 250 dollars it took to send my scores to all the schools? like do i have to send them again in 3 weeks?

oh and also, should i fax my scores to all of the schools so they have it sooner?

I think you didn't read correctly...the scores take 3-4 weeks AFTER your test date to get to the schools so I think you did the right thing no way you wasted your money.

It depends on if you marked send scores for past test or future test. If you went to ADA website and sent the additional score report right after the September 27th one and indicated past test, then you will unfortunately have to resend the scores (and resend the $$$). The DAT scores take 3-4 weeks to get processed, so you would have to have indicated send score for future test. You can fax the schools your score report, but they will need to have an official score report sent by the ADA to consider you.
