I have a question regarding sending secondaries with a pending MCAT. I took my exam on July 2nd, so I will be getting my scores back on August 8th. I am currently writing secondaries, but was wondering if it really matters from now until my score is received.

Some schools have deadlines, so I am completing those as soon as possible, but I was wondering for the schools that do not have deadlines. Is there any advantage for sending a secondary now, as opposed to early August? Thanks!

I, too, took my mcat on july 2, but I sent my primary for verification recently.

I don't think they even care about your application until they get your mcat. why would they? it would be similar to if you checked that you were taking another mcat later as they might want to delay your application to see your newer score. if they have deadlines it seems prudent to follow their rules and if they don't why would it matter if your other things aren't even ready?

I agree, I just wanted to make sure. Like if I send in my secondary, will they note that and put it in the early pile or just keep it in the incomplete until MCAT is seen. It is a minor detail, but it seems like it could make the difference. For example, I was wondering if it is possible for any school to review the entire application and put a note that says "If they score above XX on MCAT, then we will shoot them an interview". Or if schools do not even bother at all until everything is in.
