Hi all,

I'm currently looking at pre med requirements and I'm seeing that most medical schools want a year of expository writing. Since I'm in the honors program, I have to write a senior thesis during my senior year and I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not medical schools will count this as a writing course.

Do you have to have a year under your belt by the time you apply? I'll technically have 2 semesters' worth but one of the courses is AP.

I'm pretty sure you just have to state that you will take those required classes before you matriculate. I'm guessing, however, that you can't have all of your pre med classes be delayed until then, but having a couple requirements left by the time you apply I would assume is fine.

A 2nd writing course is the only one left, and technically it is fulfilled by AP credit. I'd just be taking another to be safe.

Yeah I would do that just to be safe unless the schools you are applying to specifically state that you can use AP credits on their prerequisites page.
