I sent out my AADSAS to 19 schools (yeah that cost way too much, it was just in my haste to send out early I didnt really think it through) but then decided to only apply to 4... so I only sent my checks and LOR to the 4....

But from threads bellow i realized that schools can see where else i applied!!! Yikes, maybe I should do something to let the 4 schools I applied to know that I really only applied to 4?!?!?

What do you think? Do you think it matters?

umm, since your gpa is low and you ALREADY submitted your aadsas to many schools, why dont you just keep it that way? better safe than sorry... unless money is a matter:/

yeh why not? better safe than sorry 👍

I applied to 24 schools originally. After I took my dat, I felt more confident and withdrew from 2 schools (minnesota and detroit mercy) and applied to 3 extra top tier schools PLUS the original 24.

Nobody knows if they can see where you applied, some secondaries ask and if you tell them then Yes they will know. But the schools that do not specifically ask which other schools you applied to might not know. Nobody on here knows if they can see how many schools we apply to.

its only about 65$ more for the secondaries.. if you spent all that money on the AADSAS better safe than sorry to apply to the others... you may need those extra schools with your gpa

I'm not sure what I was thinking when I picked 19. I was blinded by my drive to be a dentist... But I have a son who I think should be near all his grandparents.. My husband has a great job that would be silly to give up... We just bought the house of our dreams... The 4 schools I picked are possible to commute to. I am still driven to be a dentist... But I'm going to do it here, with the support of my friends and family, even if it doesn't happen this year. Though I am semi-confident it will 🙂

I apologize, but your math doesn't add up.

yeah it does i think.. he applied to 24, withdrew from 2 (he still applied to 24 though), and applied to 3 more on TOP of the 24, making his total 27.... right? and who cares lol

OP is a girl. 😀

schools that we apply to have the option of viewing our application online. That means that they can see the schools we applied to. Schools are not going to care how many schools you apply to unless you have low stats and appear desperate.

Do you have any evidence to support this?

Do you all really think the schools give a crap how many schools you apply to-- even if they can see which all schools you apply to? I'd assume its a non-issue with them since most people apply to at least 10 schools with the averages being probably more in the 12-14 range (or somewhere there abouts). So, going along with my assumption, does that make 15,16, or even 20 too much? I hardly doubt it. Regardless of the actually averages and numbers, I would assume all they care about is what you have to say when you interview with them. They will find out if you do or dont really give a crap about their school.

P.S. We are all desperate. (So again, most likely a non-issue)
