Septic Shock and Morphine

Ladies, gents,

I'm a law student from Denmark in the middle of a case. I'm not a doctor, but I hope you could advise me.

my client was dangerously sick with septic shock and he contacted his local doctor, who then gave him a massive shot of morphine. This is dangerous, as far as I've understood?

I'm all for helping people, but this really isn't a place for getting medical advice or free consulting for a law case.

Plus, this is the pre-medical forum and none of us have medical training yet as we're all still trying to get into medical school at this point. It would be best to find a qualified, licensed physician in your own country to ask these questions as the standard of care might be different depending on location.
