I recently took NBME 1 before starting to study for this exam and am ABSOLUTELY scared to death. I scored a 240 on Form 1. This is horrenedous as at my school's comprehensive shelf, I scored a 300 (160 or so). After seeing this score, I immediately enrolled into the PASS program in Illinois. I had heard good things about this program raising people's scores at least 40 points so I decided to take it. A little background about myself: lower-third of class, failed biochemistry 1st semester of medical school, but did ok from then on. I have to take the exam by the end of August to start clinicals. Has anyone come from this far back to do well on this exam? What other resources should I use other than the PASS program? I am going to use First Aid, Goljan Audio and Notes and Qbank. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. I know there will be hecklers, but whatever. Thanks.
