I am returning to my degree granting north east university for my pre-med requirements (graduated in Dec 04 with a BA in Psyc (Magna Cum)... job prospects seem quite dismal at the moment... and I always thought the "do you want fries with that?" joke was just a joke.

I accummulated a significant consumer debt in a move to the west coast from the east coast (with plans to gain residency and enter a UC grad program) that lasted less than a year.

Aid as a non-matriculated grad student (my current status) is horrible (will cover tuition and books, but living is going to require more funding).

Private loans seem to be my only option. Citiassist seems reasonable, I have heard BOA has some options too. Chase?

I already have a $12000 subsidized loan balance with the gov. and a $5000 instituational loan from the first insititution I attended. Thus, I already have 2 separate payments each month (though these should go into deferment when I am in school)... will a third source overwhelm me during residency?

Are there any other options? What should I do with my CC debt?
