Hey! Has anyone successfully gotten their LOR's uploaded to SF match by their school's registrar? I haven't submitted my CAS yet but wanted to see if anyone had done this successfully, as this is a new system and my school's registrar seems confused about it...

In my experience it's best to find out from SF match how it's done and try and walk your registrar through it. If the new method is too cumbersome you can have the letter mailed to SF match.

Can we have the letter writers upload the letters like what we do for general match?
I thought the only option is to mail them.
Can someone explain it more please?

I'll do my best. This is the first year where SF Match is allowing applicants upload materials (previously a massive package would contain LORs, MS transcript, etc.). Applicants can upload college transcript, USMLE step 1 score report, and any additional documents.

However, the medical schools registrar is responsible for uploading med school transcript and all three LOR. This is different from ERAS where the letter writer personally can upload the document. Prior to uploading ANY documents you must have submitted the CAS form.

All that being said, my registrar has uploaded these documents. Current status shows "processing" which will only occur once all of the required documents have been uploaded.

Thank you so much. It's strange. What if your letter writer is not from your med school (then probably we have to mail them)

I would think they could just email or mail it to your registrar and they could do the uploading for you
