SGU vs. NYCOM?

I have 10, 9, 5vb, 3.8 GPA (Bio Major), I didnt get in to us, I got in to SGU and DO, I don't know which one I should attend? any comment and input? I really appreciate that.

DO school is US medical school! You should rejoice and be happy with the chance you have been given. Go DO all the way! Not to say that SGU is not a good school. By the way, what DO school did you get in?

I just realized the subject had NYCOM in it. Sometimes I am stupid, but then again we all are sometimes.

Try and avoid the carribbean at all costs!!! I know a guy who went there and can't get back into the US for residency. It is MUCH easier to get into a good residency coming from a DO school, especially NYCOM. NYCOM is one of the best DO schools out there, so I would suggest going there. Coming from that school youre pretty much guaranteed getting residency, but from SGU youre not. When picking students for residency, hospitals first go to US students (MD and DO), and foreigners (carribbean included) get what's left, if any are left. Im sure youll get a great education at NYCOM. Good luck!
