Shadowing a Naturopathic Physician for admission to MD School?

I have the opportunity to shadow a family practice physician who is both an MD and a naturopathic doctor (he integrates the two into a holistic healthcare approach). Is this risky to do considering the controversy surrounding naturopathic approaches in modern medicine? Should I take advantage of tihs opportunity or keep trying to get a traditional MD to shadow? Thanks so much for the help.

I don't think this would be a problem. He's still an MD and you would get an interesting perspective. Perhaps you shouldn't emphasize the naturopathic part of it in your app too much or anything in case anyone is against that sort of stuff.

That sounds a little slimy to me....

Any MD who is willing to charge for "Naturopathic" medicine seems a little shady.

It's also possible that some schools might be into the alternative woo...especially those that get money from the NCCAM.
