I am trying to boost my clinically related ECs right now. I have 60+ volunteer hours in the ED, and have applied to be a physician's scribe. What are some other reasonable approaches to having the opportunity to get this sort of experience?

Go type in find a D.O and fax cover letters to them stating you wish to shadow. Some will be fine with it and some will be very nasty and hang up on your face 🙁

About 1/3 of the physician group I scribe for are DOs. I've never actually "shadowed" a DO, but nobody indicated it was a problem after accounting for my scribe experience. Just something to consider.
