I was wondering if anyone knew any good PMR doctors to shadow in St. Louis? I can certainly crack a phone book but I wanted to check here first if anyone had a suggestion. Please PM me if you don't want to post on here.

Also, does anyone have a breakdown of how I might pursue doing a case study? This summer, I will have some free time (when I don't have to work) and a case study seems like a great way to get my feet wet in PM&R and research.

Thanks for any and all responses

the PMR program at Washington University is a good place to start.

you should try to find experiences in both inpatient and outpatient pm&r.

you can't do a case study/series without patients. would recommend finding a mentor, and then asking them if they have any research you can help them with.

If you are interested in MSK medicine, Heidi Prather DO would be someone you should try to get in contact with.

thanks oreos, I'll do exactly that. Much appreciated.

If I am not mistaken, Dr. Varghese is in Columbia, Mo with Mizzou's program. I loved their program and would highly recommend it. Although I have no first-hand knowledge of Wash U's department in St. Louis, my suggestion would be to get some exposure to the University of Missouri if you have the opportunity.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

I've indexed both names, I'll reach out as soon as my schedule slows down a bit.
