I am a korean and shadowed a dentist in Korea for about 40 hours. I know a Korean dentist in U.S. who graduated from UMich. I am applying UMich as well, and it would be my first choice. I thought shadowing a UMich graduate family dentist might have some effect.

Would it be a bad idea to shadow a korean dentist again and get a recommendation letter from him?

Also, I am sending 1 committee letter + 1 LOR from a english professor. I know AADSAS does not accept any more letters.

When should I send LOR from a dentist directly to dental schools?

Thanks.

bump. Can someone give an opinion about this?

Unless there is some sort of language barrier try shadowing a white dentist.

A variety of shadowing experiences does not hurt irrespective of where the lor comes from.
