Hi! I want to know how to get an opportunity to shadow a dentist. Everyone seems to have a shadowing experience but I don't know any dentist around here in Manhattan or in Queens. How did you guys find them??????????????

do you have a dentist you go to for cleanings (i hope so)...ask him/her if you could shadow him/her as you were thinking about a career in dentistry

if not...you really should have a dentist...go to the yellow pages look up dentist and call one and ask. what's the worst that happens? he says no, and you are no worse off

make the phone calls! Make the office visits! Go in for a cleaning and then put the dentist on the spot! Call your moms dentist or dads dentist or roomates dentist!

It shouldn't be too hard. Better yet, call up and tell them you will work for free.
