Hello,
I have passed nbde part 1& 2. Now I am looking for a dental office for shadowing. Could u guys tell me how to find them or what should I do to join a dental office for shadowing.
( I don't have work permit so I can not work as a dental assistant)

I usually dress up a little and just walk in and speak with the front staff. Let them know that I need to shadow a dentist and what my availability is and if that works for the dentist have them call me back. That way the dentist isn't pressured during procedures and it's a little more courteous.

If you're looking into corporate, just contact the recruiter.

If a private office and they are hiring, they would love to have you shadow.

I wouldn't accept any position before shadowing the office. And would probably do a few days (if possible) to get the feel of the office

I've had many students referred to my ortho office from the local DS. But seriously .... most dentists would be happy to have you shadow them. Not everyone, but most. Just walk in during non-busy patient hours. Introduce yourself to the front staff. Discuss your intentions. Leave your contact information. Front office will discuss it with the dentist and then you will be notified later.
