How much shadowing should be enough? Some people say that they did 300 hours --- VOLUNTEERING? Not getting paid? Im not trying to say that I don't like being there but that just seems like an awful lot of time that is so repetitive.

I loved being at the dentist office ---I spent about 60-80 hours and maybe about 10 at another but should I get more hours?

How can they tell how many hours you have done?

Not saying that these people are lying about how many hours they spent ----

But who's to say that someone who says they did x amount of hours isnt going up agains people that are lying...

I am just wondering how much shadowing hours most of you have??

you should be fine with that number i have 6 years of dental assisting experiance and that didn't get me in this year. anyway i think when the dentist writes you a recommendation he might want to state how long you;ve volunteered or something like that, if not on the aadsas application they ask you that question...
