Let me ask everyone here who shadows? What do you guys do when you are a shadowing?

For example I shadow my cousin and another dentist who work in the same office, and all I do is watch and sometimes they will explain to em whats going on and other times I just ask questions and they answer me, but mostly all I do is watch...

I did it this past summer for 70 some hours and that's exactly what I did. I sat in another chair and watched procedures. The dentist explained everything that was going on and talked about the procedure, different kinds of materials, techniques, etc. I think that's all there really is to do unless you're working as an assistant.

what does your shadow do for you? Just sits there and follows you around. Same thing you do with the dentist
