Since everyone on this forum has been so helpful and kind to me, I thought I'd share my grades from long ago to show what I'm dealing with. The attached PDF is a testament to my laziness and past immaturity, and it's still a source of immense embarrassment and shame. It's something I've never shared outside of SDN. My coworkers and friends would be appalled if they knew how much I screwed around in college.

I put together this list to see what kind of uphill battle I'm facing. Fortunately, I'm a Texas resident so I have the option to declare a "fresh start." I'm thinking of enrolling in my local community college this year to take care of some basics and apply for university admission via academic fresh start in Summer 2020. It's my understanding that all credits 10 years prior to the date that fresh start is declared will be removed from gpa calculations by TMDSAS. It would remove about 100 hours of credits and just might make me competitive, assuming my academic performance improves. Anyway, just felt like sharing. Perhaps it will make some other applicants feel better about their records.

I had a lower uGPA, more credits, and no Texas Fresh Start, so you can absolutely do this if you put forth the effort. But you have to go into this knowing that there are no more second chances. You need to ace all of your prereqs. And honestly, it should feel pretty easy, because an entire semester of a college course is about 2-3 weeks of med school material.
