Hello,

I was wondering if its bad if my interview lasted only about 20 minutes, but the interviewer talked most of the time, mostly about the school, good points able the city, and such. I was only asked 3 questions...with one of them being..."do you have any questions for me?"

Thank you for your help!

Hi, well sometimes you hear about how the school already has its decision made, and doesn't want you, and only invited you for interview so that they meet some "quota" or seem diverse... But then it could also be that they were highly impressed by your stats and already knew they wanted you.

That sounds like a pretty boring interview. I would place a marker between bad and neutral. If you have competitive stats, maybe the interviewer was too lazy to ask you very much because he wanted you in the school.

Hello,

That may be a case of the school knowing that they want you and feeling the need to sell the school. It can also be the sign of a poorly prepared interviewer who has little curiosity or who is inexperienced .(Did this happen in the last 4 weeks, that is to say, at the beginning of the cycle?)

Was the length of the interview "advertised" as 30 minutes, 45, 50?

My first acceptance came from a school where my interview barely made it to fifteen minutes. He flipped through my application, asked me about my extracurriculars (which he could plainly see on the app), and then sent me on my way. No questions were asked.

Usually when this happens an acceptance follows.

Similarly, when you're at a job interview and the interviewer starts talking about benefits, pension plans, health insurance, disability insurance, signing bonus, good places to live, and how soon they could expect you to work, you're pretty much guaranteed the job.

It means that they really like you, and they decide to spend most of the time to sell their school so you will pick it and go. Time to relax dude 😀

I hope this happens to me too, where they already want me and just want to sell themselves to me.

I had a 15 minutes (scheduled for 45) interview that was like that. Couldn't have been too bad because I ended up getting accepted.

It does feel really weird to have an interview go like that though.

just read this thread and it makes me feel a lot better about my interview yesterday! my interview lasted 15-20 minutes and was scheduled for 45 so that made me slightly nervous. he asked me why medicine, why the school, what we need to fix about healthcare, and a few other questions though so hopefully he had all the info he needed and was just busy. good luck to all of you, hopefully we all hear back good news soon!🙂

yeah, my interview was also definitely shorter than I expected.
