Is anyone else getting 'short notice' for interviews? (less than 3 weeks?)

How are you finding cheap air fare?

The ticket I bought for my interview was $340 round trip. It is only going to get worse as we get closer to the holidays...

Right now, I'm just waiting for an interview 😉

I should only need to fly to one of my interviews (USC) if I get one at every school I applied to, and thanks to Southwest's Rapid Rewards, I have a free ticket waiting for me. Hopefully that comes in handy...

Anyway, I suggest trying out the regular sites like Expedia and Travelocity. Priceline can be okay, especially if you leave a day early. You can also use Qixo and Mobissimo to search several sites at once. StudentUniverse has a good reputation, but I've never used them. If you even plan on trying them out, register now so they can confirm that you're a student before you have to rush to get a ticket. Don't forget to check Southwest's website if your destination is serviced by them, too, as their fares are only found on their website.

thanks for the tips 🙂

The shortest notice I had was about a week, from Nova.

I only got a week notice from USC.

I submitted my AADSAS in July and received the e-mail about an interview at USC on Nov. 4. They gave me 2 options, Nov. 11 or 18. I have to go on the 11th because I have interviews at Washington and UNLV during the other option.

I got six day notice from U michigan. 😕

I got 6 day notice from Louisville. The plane ticket was $390 🙁 :scared:
