My personal statement is just shy of 2500 characters. Just curious if anyone else kept theirs short and brief? I feel like I answered the "why medicine" question without being too wordy or cliche.

I have read two personal statements that were short. One was great, another was confusing because the person did not write enough. They referenced their activities, but I didn't think making the reader flip back and forth was a good idea. They ended up completely rewriting everything.

I am sorry but I feel that is way too short. You are using less than half the allotted characters. But if you feel that you have fully expressed your interest in the best of your abilities then it should be good. Consider using a theme/analogy to increase the length without being too wordy and thus making it more enjoyable to read.

Also, I wanted to make sure you are including spaces in that character count. Enters count as 2 or 3 spaces, I don't remember which.

Single spaced, broken up into 3 paragraphs with 1 "enter" between each.
